Jones and Bare Bones

Done! I finished Casey a couple days ago and am posting a final shot for ya.
I am going to start studies on my new piece this afternoon or tomorrow, and this time I wanna go even bigger! I am planning on the next piece being a 3' x 2' piece. I am leaning towards a character I have previously done but in a much more dyanmic pose with more movement and a broader comp. I also wanted to talk a bit about a movie we watched last night that I really enjoyed. I feel like I watch a lot of movies and always have. Going to the movies were an event growing up. I'll never forget the first time I saw Raiders Of The Lost Ark, or Terminator 2. So with the amount of crap that floats though our streaming devices it's nice to find something worth the time it takes to watch. So this movie is called 'Scare Me' and is probably more of a thriller than a horror, though labeled as both. So what did I like about this film? First, the acting the main charcaters are played by Aya Cash, and Josh Ruben. These two characters spin scary tales to one another during a power outage when they meet at the lake the both are staying at. I will say that during the film its hard to tell which direction it's going to go....paranormal, phsycological, slasher? Yet there is even the option that this film might just end on a high note. Guiding the viewer through a hilarious evening that really is hiding a sinister ending that really did throw me for a loop. The dark side of this movie is on point and the actual scariness of the picture really does lie in its truth of the fragility of the human brain. The film does a great job of hiding the darkness in humor making the viewer feel welcome and even comfortable...until it isn't. The film is over 4 years old but sometimes ya miss the hot ones. I posted the trailer for ya if you want to check it out. I laughed, and the film definitely gave me goose bumps at the end when it starts to unfold in the last few minutes. Alright! until next time.
