Finishing up Jones
Hey, so I am almost done with my newest 'Casey Jones' piece. I finished his hair this morning and just have the mask left. This piece was awesome and fun to work on. I learned a lot about mixing color and utilizing those colors as a cohesive piece. This went outside of my comfort realm initially as it had a ton of movement and a little more color than I'm used to using. After some research and test runs I am much more confident mixing colors as opposed to buying them. For this piece I purchased only one color and mixed all the rest. I picked up Magenta to help put some heat in the browns and blues. I found it came in really handy balancing out cooler hues and putting a lil more 'pop' in the color without making it muddy or dull. These three pieces may look the same but in fact they have some subtle but important differences that help the hair stand out a little more. See if you can notice the differences in color or highlights from shot to shot. I really only have his mask and the light eminating from the vortex left. These and a few 'go overs' to help re-establish highlights. Probably should be done today or tomorrow!
