Holidaze

Hey there, welcome back. The snow is falling here in the mountains and a couple of resorts have already opened up! We shold be going to pick up our season passes at Silver in another week or so. Gear is tuned up and ready to ride! Speaking of gear I spent a little more time in our gear room and got the mount hung as well as the hanging bar.
I picked up some break bands that will keep those big breaks from marking the wall. Here is a shot of one of the hanging bars.
There is still one more bar to hang for all of my clothing and a couple shelves for goggles and such. Pretty close to calling it done. Also, I've ramped up my studies towards the PSIA certification and am really looking forward to my 1st attempt at gaining those level ones. This is my second read through in the alpine technical manual and I do feel like I'm retaining more of the verbage that will probably be my biggest hurdle. I'm not too concerned with the actual skiing part maybe more the crituiqe and application of technique and tactics on a student. Hey! guess what? speaking of ski teachers, my mother found this photo of me in one of my 1st ski schools. I figure I was about seven in this photo maybe even five or six. It's in that realm anyway. If you remember me telling you in a much earlier post about my 1st instructor who (If I remember right) is named Eric. This photo too has him along with a group of people I have never forgotten to this day. I was still living in the central valley of California at the time and these kids were locals. I ended up going to high school with a couple of em some 8 years later.
This photo gives me great joy to look at. This moment in time will always be remebered, I even recall the actual photo being taken. This was Bear Valley / Mt. Reba California in the Sierra Nevadas some 7,000 ft. above it all. I truly do miss that place. I'm on the faaaar right in the red jacket and backwards ball cap.
